The region saw between an inch and 4 inches of snow Monday night and Tuesday morning.

In Grand Forks there was 2.8 inches of snow, Devils Lake had 4 inches, Pembina had 3 inches, Crookston had 2.6 inches and Mentor, Minn., had 1.5 inches of fresh snow, according to a National Weather Service report.

A travel alert was issued for Rugby, Devils Lake, Langdon and surrounding areas in northeast North Dakota for reduced visibility caused when vehicles pass and create snow fog or whiteout conditions.

Temperatures are expected to remain below average the rest of this week, and snow may fall on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
