Two arrested following overdose death near Fertile, Minn.

Katie Elizabeth Flick, 32, was pronounced dead on scene after Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies responded around 8:50 p.m. Monday on Highway 102, about 7 miles outside of Fertile, Minn. Flick's body was transported to UND Pathology for an autopsy.

Two people have been arrested in connection to the death of an Erskine woman who died of an apparent fentanyl overdose Monday, July 26.

Katie Elizabeth Flick, 32, was pronounced dead on the scene after Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies responded around 8:50 p.m. Monday on Highway 102, about 7 miles outside of Fertile, Minn. Flick's body was transported to UND Pathology for an autopsy.

Georgie Piatkoff, 29, also of Erskine, was transported to Riverview Hospital.

Authorities said that after further investigation, the incident is suspected to be a fentanyl overdose.

Piatkoff and Andre Laschon Metcalf, 43, of Crookston, were arrested. Charges are pending, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Approximately 16 M30, fake, Percocet pills were recovered. They are suspected to contain fentanyl.

Authorities said M30 pills have been "flooding the region and are extremely deadly as they have been the source of multiple overdoses."

No further information is being released at this time as the investigation continues.

This is a joint investigation with the Pine to Prairie Narcotics Task Force. Assisting agencies are the Fertile Fire Department, County EMS and the Crookston Police Department.
