A portion of a busy road in Grand Forks is restricted because of problems associated with buckling, according to the Grand Forks Police Department.
The agency issued a statement Sunday, July 5, that said the overpass on Columbia Road is restricted to a single lane of traffic because of roadway buckling. Police ask that motorists slow their speed and pay attention to signage and potentially find alternate routes in that part of town.
It's possible the entire overpass will need to be closed.
The police statement said the city's engineering and streets departments are monitoring the situation.
