Three taken to hospital following crash near East Grand Forks

Three people were taken to the hospital following a crash just outside East Grand Forks Thursday.

The East Grand Forks Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident around 3:15 p.m. Thursday, June 17, half-mile north of East Grand Forks on Highway 220

Arriving units found two vehicles with heavy front end damage with one vehicle resting on its passenger side, according to a release from the East Grand Forks Fire Department. Officials said three patients needed to be extricated from both vehicles. All three patients were transported to Altru hospital.

Responding agencies along with the East Grand Forks Fire Department are, East Grand Forks Police Department, Polk County Sherriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol and Altru Ambulance.
