Teenager dies in rural Stark County crash

RICHARDTON, N.D. — An 18-year-old Richardton man died in a rollover crash that took place shortly after midnight Sunday, July 19.

The driver was traveling southbound on 85th Avenue Southwest, roughly 7 miles southeast of Richardton, in a 2006 Buick Lucerne when he lost control of the vehicle and it entered the east ditch. The vehicle rolled into an adjacent pasture and ejected the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver died at the scene. A 19-year-old male passenger from Taylor was not injured in the crash.

The victim's identity has not been released pending family notification.

Richardton is 25 miles east of Dickinson.
