ND flu cases decline for second straight week
BISMARCK -- The total number of flu cases in North Dakota has declined for the second week in a row.
There were 673 reported cases of influenza in the week ending Feb. 10, compared to 748 the week prior, according to the North Dakota Department of Health's weekly flu snapshot.
Flu activity remains widespread, and it is likely that the season peaked during the week ending Jan. 27, according to health officials. Despite the number of flu cases declining, it's likely widespread flu activity will continue for "some time," the report said.
There have been 5,641 cases of influenza so far this season, including 20 deaths and 210 flu-related hospitalizations.
