FARGO - Some cool cats are headed to the Red River Zoo.
Sally Jacobson, executive director of the Fargo zoo, said the zoo is preparing a home for a pair of Eurasian lynx - sisters, actually - that are expected to arrive by spring at the latest.
The siblings will occupy space that used to be home to the zoo's brown eared pheasant exhibit, which has been moved to the zoo's aviary.
Jacobson said the lynx enclosure will have trails the cats can use for climbing.
She noted that Eurasian lynx are the largest lynx species, adding they will feel right at home in North Dakota's climate, as their natural habitat includes regions such as Siberia.
