One person was injured in a crash involving a motorized bicycle and a vehicle Thursday, May 27.
Grand Forks police officers were dispatched to an injury accident around 1 p.m. for an accident involving a motorized bicycle and vehicle in the parking lot of 1630 24th Ave. S.
According to a GFPD release, an investigation indicated a 2008 Chevy operated by 18-year-old Kaitlynn Sondrol was northbound through the parking lot between the apartments and garages. As it was turning to go west through the parking lot, it made contact with a motorized bicycle operated by 61-year-old Eugene Hendrickson, who was going east through the parking lot behind a set of garages and emerged directly in front of the car, police said.
Hendrickson was transported to Altru with injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
The Grand Forks Police Department was assisted by the Grand Forks Fire Department and Altru paramedics.
