GRAND FORKS — A two-vehicle head-on crash east of Thompson resulted in a fatality.
According to a release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 8:27 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, on Sixth Avenue NE (County Road 7), about six miles east of Thompson.
According to the Highway Patrol, Tyson Horton, 20, of Fertile, Minnesota, was driving a 2016 Dodge Charger eastbound. An unidentified male, 42, of Crookston, was driving a 1994 Ford F150 westbound. Horton crossed the center line and collided head-on with the Ford driver.
The unidentified driver died at the scene. An investigation is pending.
The road conditions were good at the time of the crash and weather was clear, according to the Highway Patrol.
