FARGO — A person was found dead when firefighters responded to a fire on Tuesday night, April 26, in an apartment buildng in south Fargo.
At about 6:30 p.m., Fargo firefighters responded to the fire call at 2701 32nd Avenue South in a unit on the second floor of the apartment building.
Residents were evacuated and crews had the fire out within 10 minutes.
The fire department said they found the person in the unit while putting the fire out. There were no other injuries.
The Fargo Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and has not released the name of the victim.

The fire department responded with five engines, one truck and battalion chiefs.
The investigation is ongoing.
