House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff warned the White House on Wednesday, Oct. 2, that " we're not fooling around here " on the impeachment inquiry as Democrats announced that they would subpoena documents related to President Donald Trump's July phone call with the leader of Ukraine.
In North Dakota, Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., is calling the effort to impeach President Donald Trump a great tragedy. During a visit to the state this week, Kramer said Congress should be more focused on the U.S. Mexican trade agreement and pay increases for members of the military.
"To try and fast track an impeachment proceeding before Christmas is a great distraction and will tear the country apart. It is blatantly a partisan impeachment process," he said.
Meanwhile, Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., took a more diplomatic approach and said people can make their own decisions at the ballot box.
