Man and infant found dead in Sartell, Minnesota, apartment recently moved from Grand Forks

The man's death is suspected to be from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The infant's death is under investigation.

SARTELL, Minn. — Two people found dead inside an apartment in Sartell, Minnesota, have ties to Grand Forks.

They were identified as 24-year-old Caleb Allen Clark and 4-month-old Hazel Kaloni Clark. They had recently moved to Sartell from Grand Forks, according to a press release on the Sartell Police Department's Facebook page.

The Clarks were found dead on Jan. 19 when emergency personnel responded to an apartment fire at 301 11th Ave. East.

According to the press release from the Sartell Police Department, Caleb Clark died of a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Hazel Clark's death is being investigated as a homicide, the release said. Her cause of death is pending further testing.

The State Fire Marshall determined the fire was set within the apartment intentionally. Most of the damage was contained to the unit, the release said.
