18-year-old central Minnesota woman dies in single-vehicle crash

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash, reported at 4:42 p.m. in Nokay Lake Township, east of Brainerd.

NOKAY LAKE TOWNSHIP, Minn. — An 18-year-old Brainerd woman died Saturday, May 7, after her vehicle struck a tree.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash, reported at 4:42 p.m. in Nokay Lake Township, east of Brainerd. According to the sheriff’s office, the vehicle hit a tree at the intersection of Northeast Thorson and Mill roads. No other vehicles were involved.

The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the driver was withheld Sunday.
