Mandan man dies in motorcycle crash near Richardton

RICHARDTON, N.D. — A 62-year-old Mandan man died in a motorcycle crash around 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25, three miles east of Richardton.

Clayton Maloney, 62, was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling east on Old Highway 10. Maloney failed to negotiate a curve, entered the south ditch and overturned.

He driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, Kasey Maloney, 42, also of Mandan, was taken via Sanford Air Med to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck for non-life threatening injuries. Neither rider was wearing a helmet.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Stark County Sheriff's Office and Dickinson Ambulance responded to the crash.
