Stabbing reported in south Grand Forks

Officers were called to meet a vehicle that was driving to Altru hospital emergency room with a stabbing victim on Sunday afternoon, according to a news release.

A stabbing was reported in south Grand Forks on Sunday evening, Sept. 12.

Officers were called to meet a vehicle that was driving to the Altru hospital emergency room with a stabbing victim on Sunday afternoon, according to a news release.

Officers arrived at the emergency room and determined a 19-year-old male had been stabbed at a southend location, the release said.

The condition of the man was not immediately available.

Officers were able to determine the location of the incident and a person of interest was taken into custody. At this time the incident is under investigation and further information will be forthcoming from the PD Criminal Investigations Bureau.
