Man loses control of car, damages Grand Forks pharmacy

Tuesday incident causes significant damage to business on South Columbia Road.

A Grand Forks business is damaged after it was hit by a vehicle late Tuesday evening, Nov. 30.

According to a release from the Grand Forks Police Department, Gebrekrstos Embaye, 31, of East Grand Forks, lost control of his vehicle while driving north on Columbia Road. The vehicle drove through the south wall of Thrifty White Pharmacy.

The incident occurred at approximately 11 p.m.

The vehicle came to a stop partially inside the building, causing significant damage to the building's foundation and interior.

Embaye, who was not injured, was cited for "care required," according to the police report.

The Grand Forks Fire Department assisted. The GFPD asks anyone with additional information about the incident to call 701-787-8000.
