GRAND FORKS — A girl suffered minor injuries when she was struck by a pickup truck in Fosston on Friday morning, Jan. 7.
According to a release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the department was notified around 8:30 a.m. of an accident involving a pedestrian near the intersection of First Street East and North Granum Avenue in Fosston.
Police say a juvenile female was crossing First Street East and was struck by a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driving east. The pickup was driven by Kerry Cran, 49 of Lengby, Minnesota.
The girl was transported by Essentia Ambulance to Essentia Health in Fosston for minor injuries.
No further information will be released at this time, authorities said.

“The Polk County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind drivers and pedestrians to use caution at/near intersections,” the office said in the release.
