Grand Forks garage fire causes upwards of $10,000 in damage

No injuries were reported after a garage fire Sunday morning, March 28, in Grand Forks.

Fire crews responded to a report of a garage fire at 2120 Library Ln. just before 7 a.m. Sunday, according to a release from the Grand Forks Fire Department. Crews arrived to find smoke and fire coming from a row of unattached garages at an apartment complex.

They located the fire in a garage stall near the center of the structure and extinguished it. Damage was contained only to that garage and is estimated at more than $10,000, according to the release.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Grand Forks Fire Department was assisted by the Grand Forks Police Department, Altru Ambulance and property management.
