An East Grand Forks resident is running for the Minnesota House as a Democrat.
Brent Lindstrom is a factory worker, union member and Polk County DFL leader.
Now, he's looking for another title-endorsed Democratic candidate for District 1B of the Minnesota House of Representatives. Lindstrom, of East Grand Forks, announced his candidacy for the party endorsement in a Friday press release.
The district he's running for covers all of the Minnesota counties of Polk and Red Lake, as well as much of Pennington County. A native of Lake Bronson, Minn., Lindstrom is a retired member of the U.S. Air Force who now works in Crookston as an assembler at New Flyer of America, a company that produces transit buses. He is also a member of the Local 7304 chapter of the All American Communication Workers. According to his press release, Lindstrom is an advocate of youth sports who founded the Grand Cities Lacrosse Association.
The District 1B seat is currently held by Deb Kiel, a rural Crookston Republican in her third term.
