ERSKINE, Minn. – A residence in rural Erskine appears to be a total loss after a structure fire on Monday, Feb. 15.

Polk County deputies responded to 21475 300th St. SE just before 5:20 p.m. for a report of a fire, according to a release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office. When they arrived, deputies found the residence engulfed in flames.

The occupants of the house were away for the season, according to a sergeant with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and no one was injured in the blaze. The fire is not being treated as suspicious, he said.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, according to the release. The state fire marshal will investigate the source of the blaze, and no further information is expected to be issued at this time, the release said.

Investigators were not available for further comment Tuesday morning, Feb. 16.
