POLK COUNTY, MN - The Crookston Fire Department was able to put out a lawn mower that caught fire before it destroyed a shed in rural Polk County.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a structure fire at a property north of Crookston Monday night, May 25.

Deputies found thick smoke coming out of a shed when they arrived at 25966 200 St. SW.

The owner of the shed told investigators he had been mowing a lawn shortly before seeing the smoke and calling 911.

The lawn mower was a complete loss and other items inside the the shed were moderately damaged.
