A Sunday night fire caused thousands of dollars in damage to a Grand Forks mobile home, according to the Grand Forks Fire Department.

There was light smoke drifting out of the window and door of the home, 5246 Fifth Ave. N., when firefighters arrived around 10:30 p.m., a press release from the fire department said. Firefighters extinguished the flames and no other buildings were damaged.

There wasn’t anyone living in the mobile home, but the structure has about $10,000 worth of damage, the release said.

Fourteen firefighters responded with four engines, a ladder truck and a command vehicle, the release said.

The Grand Forks Fire Department Fire Marshal is still investigating the cause of the fire.
