Breakfast and lunch will be free this year for students attending Grand Forks public schools, according to the district office.
School starts Wednesday, Aug. 25, for K-9 students and Thursday, Aug. 26, for students in grades 10 through 12.
Also, families that qualify for Title I or other benefit programs are asked to complete an application and return it to the child’s school. The Free and Reduced Price School Meals application covers all students in the household. A separate application is not required for each student.
The completed application may be returned to any school office or the Child Nutrition Office at 2115 Sixth Ave. N. or completed online at https://www.schoolcafe.com/.
To be considered for any other income-based programs the district may offer, families should complete the release of information form as well.
