Local high schools will be conducting graduation ceremonies over the next several days.

The events start Thursday, May 27, with Grand Forks Community High School. Those 47 graduates will receive their diplomas in a ceremony set to begin at 7 p.m. at the Alerus Center.

On Friday, May 28, Sacred Heart High School in East Grand Forks will conduct graduation ceremonies, honoring 20 graduates, at 4 p.m. in the school gym.

There is no limit to the number of audience members. Masks are recommended for those who are not fully vaccinated.

The event will be livestreamed on the school’s Facebook page.

Also Friday, East Grand Forks Senior High School ceremonies for its 127 graduates begin at 7 p.m. at the Civic Center. See the livestreamed event on the school district’s Facebook page.

At the Civic Center, there will be no limit to the number of audience members. Masks are not required, but those who are not fully vaccinated are strongly encouraged to wear a mask, school officials said.

Families will not be allowed on the Civic Center floor, including for pictures after the ceremony. Families are asked to take all photos outside.

On Sunday, May 30, Red River High School graduation ceremonies for 219 graduates begin at 1 p.m. with Grand Forks Central High School ceremonies, for 238 graduates, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Alerus Center. At the ceremonies, students will be spaced six feet apart upon entry to their seats and masks will be optional, according to a school district official. Spectators are encouraged to sit as a family unit and masks are encouraged.
