New Grand Forks superintendent contract calls for $195,000 salary
Grand Forks Public Schools is set to review an annual salary of $195,000 for its next superintendent.
Terry Brenner, who was selected by the School Board last month to replace Grand Forks Superintendent Larry Nybladh, has signed a three-year contract with the school district, according to documents set to be reviewed by School Board members at Monday's regular meeting. Brenner's salary will be frozen for three years, according to the contract.
After 10 years of serving the school in his current role, Nybladh announced in September he would retire from the position effective June 30. His annual salary is $231,210.
The School Board is set to review Nybladh's final evaluation as superintendent at the Monday meeting. Draft documents indicate he will receive satisfactory marks, the highest ranking, in all categories.
Brenner is the director of curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional development for the district. His first day as superintendent is July 1.
The district also will purchase $50,000 in life insurance, give him 65 days of sick leave each year, 25 days of vacation per year and the "same contribution level and policy as provided to the teaching staff" for health insurance.
