East Grand Forks City Council members took care of a handful of routine agenda items at a quick and uneventful council meeting Tuesday.

Council members:

  • Ratified the reappointment of Robert Beauchamp to the city’s charter commission and the appointment of Robert Lukkason to the city’s Park and Recreation Commission. Lukkason will replace Brian Larson, a UND construction manager who won a seat on the City Council in November.
  • Renewed a lease between the city and Tri-County Corrections that puts a probation office in East Grand Forks City Hall.
  • OK'd the $39,000 after-trade-in purchase of a new Bobcat for the city’s public works department and $289,000 after-trade-in purchase of two new snow blowers.
