East Grand Forks man uninjured after submerging vehicle in Grand Marais Creek

An East Grand Forks man escaped his vehicle without injuries after it ran off the road and was partially submerged in Grand Marais Creek, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Officers responded to reports of a crash on County Road 19 near 420th Avenue Southwest around 7 p.m. Sunday, April 19, according to a Tuesday morning release from the sheriff's office. At the scene of the crash, the responding deputy found a 2020 Subaru Legacy driven by Zachary Markovich, 21, partially submerged in the creek, the release stated. Markovich was able to escape the vehicle without injuries.

No further information about the crash is being released, according to the sheriff's office.
