The Grand Forks Police Department is seeking information about an attempted robbery near the 300 block on N. Washington St. in the morning of Saturday, Sept. 11.

According to a release by the Grand Forks Police, a male victim was allegedly approached at approximately 6:03 a.m. by the suspect, a Black male in his early 20s who claimed to be armed with a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. The victim fled the scene and reported the attempted robbery to a local convenience store. The suspect is described as being between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet 2 inches tall with a very slender build. He was last seen near Fourth Avenue North and North Washington Street walking westbound, wearing a red, green and black sweatshirt and blue jeans. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
