One person was injured in an early Saturday morning shooting in Grand Forks.

Grand Forks officers were called around 1:50 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, to the Quality Inn at 3251 30th Ave. S. for a reported victim that had been shot, according to a press release from the police department.

Officers on scene located one victim with gunshot wounds to the torso. The victim was ultimately transported to Altru by paramedics. Their condition is unknown at this time.

Police said it appears the victim and the suspect are known to each other and there is no immediate danger to the public.

Grand Forks Fire Department and Altru Paramedics assisted during this incident.
