No injuries were reported this weekend after a vehicle drove into the bedroom of a Grand Forks apartment unit.

Grand Forks firefighters responded to the collision around 9:20 p.m. Saturday, July 25, where they found a large hole through the bedroom wall of the unit, according to a Grand Forks Fire Department release. The vehicle was still running, but a search found both the vehicle and the apartment to be unoccupied.

The unit received significant damage and required a load-bearing wall to be shored and plywood sheathing to secure the opening. The fire department remained on the scene until the vehicle was removed. The incident remains under investigation by Grand Forks police, according to the release.
