HORACE, N.D. — A man who suffered injuries during an assault at a bar in Horace over the weekend has died, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities identified the man who died as 31-year-old Horace resident Marlin Klatt.
The incident happened early Sunday, June 28, at Big Erv's Bar and Grill in Horace, which is just south of West Fargo. Through an initial investigation, sheriff's deputies learned that a man assaulted a bartender and two patrons, the sheriff's office said.
The sheriff’s office arrested 25-year-old Jordan Ryker Pendleton on suspicion of assault.
The Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office and the sheriff's office plan to hold a news conference at the Cass County Law Enforcement Center at 11:30 a.m. today to discuss the charges that Pendleton will face.
Pendleton remained in custody Tuesday at the Cass County Jail.
