A Minto woman has been charged with stealing about $3,200 from a local Boy Scout troop between Feb. 1 and June 1, 2013.
Christie Marie Odell-Moran was a leader of Minto Cub Scouts Troop 143 in 2013, according to court documents. In that position, she had access to the troop's funds through its credit card, debit card and checks, which she allegedly used for personal use. Walsh County Sheriff Ron Jurgens said the crime was reported to his office in 2018.
Odell-Moran faces a maximum five-year sentence and $10,000 fine for the theft. She is expected to appear in court for the first time Dec. 30.
