Twin Cities-area man calls 911 to report he killed his wife

BLAINE, Minn. — A man has been arrested after allegedly calling 911 to report he killed his wife Friday night, Feb. 8.

At about 9:45 p.m. Friday, Blaine police and deputies from the Anoka County sheriff's office responded to a home in Blaine and arrested Matthew Lynn Jansen, 46.

Police found Mary Jo Jansen, 46, dead in the home.

Matthew Jansen is being held at the Anoka County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder.

Police say the death remains under investigation.
