Man facing charges for sounding fire alarm in Grand Forks apartment
A Grand Forks man is facing charges after he allegedly pulled a fire extinguisher from an apartment building and set off the alarm in the middle of the night.
Bronson Lynn Hale, 30, could face up to five years in prison for the felony terrorizing charge, if convicted.
Court documents said Hale was banging on walls and doors in the apartment hallway with a fire extinguisher on Sunday just before midnight. Police said he was extremely intoxicated.
Bronson allegedly told police he thought his neighbors were not listening and said they were on fire.
When Hale grabbed the fire extinguisher, he allegedly caused the alarm to sound throughout the building and forced residents to evacuate.
He's scheduled to enter a plea Friday.
