The body of a woman was found Saturday at a riverside park in Grand Forks.
Police responded at 11:47 a.m. to the boat ramp area in Lincoln Park, which borders the Red River south of downtown Grand Forks, according to a news release. The body was found in a group of trees to the east of the boat ramp by an individual attending a high school cross country meet at the park, the release said.
"At this time, there is no evidence of foul play and the next of kin has been notified," police said in the release, adding there is no danger to the public.
The woman's body was taken to the UND Forensic Pathology Center for an autopsy.
The discovery did not impact the cross country meet, Sgt. Jay Middleton said.
