LISBON, N.D. — A driver of a vehicle led law enforcement on a 30-mile near Lisbon, N.D., late Friday after the North Dakota Highway Patrol attempted to make a traffic stop for an equipment violation.  

Nicholas Hanson, of Lisbon, is the suspect in the incident which started at about 11:50 p.m.

The pursuit ended seven miles north of Fort Ransom when the suspect attempted to further elude law enforcement by driving through a soybean field and the vehicle became disabled.

The driver was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Barnes County Jail.    

Hanson was charged with fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of an imitation controlled substance with intent to deliver. The latter is a class C felony.
