A high-risk sex offender moved to Grand Forks from Bismarck last week, according to the police department.

Jeremiah Jack Mihulka, 39, now lives at 802 ½ N. Fifth St., the press release said.

Mihulka was found in the bed of a 9-year-old girl during a 2001 party in Bismarck, the sex offender registry said. The girl said he’d put his hand down her pants. Mihulka served five years in prison for gross sexual imposition and was on probation for five years following.

In 1998, he admitted to having sex with a 15-year-old child in a Dickinson motel, the registry said. Mihulka spent two years on probation for corruption of a minor.

High-risk offenders are considered the most dangerous or likely to reoffend. There are 111 sex offenders that work, live or go to school in Grand Forks and 11 are classified as high-risk offenders, the release said.
