A portion of DeMers Avenue closed for an hour Monday, Oct. 14, as Grand Forks police cleared a traffic crash.

A 2015 Chrysler 200, driven by 21-year-old Tayler Scott, was westbound on DeMers Avenue when she tried to turn south onto South Columbia Road, a press release from the police department said. Her vehicle collided with an eastbound 1998 Toyota Tacoma driven by 19-year-old James Soileau, police said. The crash pushed the Toyota into a blue 2005 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 20-year-old Jasmin Stevens, the release said. She was stopped at a stop sign waiting to merge onto DeMers Avenue when her car was hit.

Scott was cited for failure to yield, the release said. No one was injured, but police said eastbound traffic was closed for about an hour.
