A Bismarck man is facing charges in Grand Forks alleging he embezzled nearly $100,000 from a Grand Forks business.

Samuel Edwin Mcquade could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted of misapplication of entrusted property and spend another 10 years behind bars if convicted of theft.

A charging document said Mcquade, who was a treasurer of King’s View Condo Association, transferred about $97,650 from the business’ bank account into his own. The association has condos on the edge of the King’s View golf course, 5301 S. Columbia Road.

A warrant was issued Wednesday for Mcquade’s arrest, but he was not in custody Friday morning.
