Belcourt man dead following two-vehicle crash outside Dunseith

Raymond Lafrombois, 55, died from injuries sustained in the crash at Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health in Belcourt.

A Belcourt, N.D., man is dead following a two-vehicle collision outside of Dunseith around 6:40 p.m. Thursday, May 14.

Raymond Lafrombois, 55, was driving a 1991 Dodge Dakota east on 99th Street NE four miles northeast of Dunseith when he turned left in front of a 1997 Ford F-150 driven by Kyle Davis, 32, of Dunseith, causing Davis to hit the right side of the Dodge, according to a release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Lafrombois was transported to Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health in Belcourt, where he died. Davis and his passenger, Tannika Daye, 28, also of Dunseith, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. According to the release, Lafrombois was not wearing a seatbelt, but Davis and Daye were. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
