JAMESTOWN, N.D. A man died in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday, Nov. 16, on U.S. Highway 52 about 2 miles north of Jamestown, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Richard Lefevre, 63, of Jamestown, was driving a 2003 Buick Century westbound on 32nd Street Southeast shortly before 5:15 p.m. He approached an intersection at Highway 52, while Aubrey Wock, 35, Buchanan, North Dakota, was driving a 2009 Toyota Venza with two juveniles northbound on Highway 52 in the right lane.

The Buick attempted to cross Highway 52 in order to travel southbound and was struck by the Toyota on the driver's side, the patrol said. Both vehicles continued northwest into the median with the Buick coming to rest facing north and the Toyota facing northwest.

Wock and the two juveniles were taken by Jamestown Area Ambulance to Jamestown Regional Medical Center and treated for nonlife-threatening injuries, the patrol said. Lefevre was pronounced deceased at the scene, the patrol said.

Lefevre was using a seat belt, according to a news release. Wock also was using a seat belt, and both juveniles were in car seats. Wock's airbags deployed, according to the release.

The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department and Jamestown Fire and Rescue all responded to the scene.

The patrol is investigating the crash.
