WILLISTON, N.D. — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday, Sept. 17, in a collision with another vehicle in Williston, N.D.
The name of the victim, a 34-year-old male from Williston, is being withheld pending notification of family, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
According to the highway patrol, the cyclist was riding a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja and traveling west on 34th Street West at about 10:22 p.m. A 2008 GMC Yukon, driven by a Williston woman, 30, was traveling north on First Avenue West.
The motorcyclist disregarded a stop sign, according to the highway patrol, and struck the rear side of the GMC Yukon. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, according to highway patrol.
Both occupants in the GMC Yukon were uninjured, according to the highway patrol.
No charges are pending; the crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
