WILLISTON, N.D. — The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the two victims of a fatal crash which took place at 5:20 p.m., Friday, Aug. 21, 30 miles east of Williston.
The deceased were driver Trenton Beston, a 24-year-old New Town man and Enright Beston, a one-year-old New Town boy.
A second passenger, three-year-old Trenton Beston, Jr., suffered serious injuries. Beston, Jr., was transported to Tioga Medical Center and later flown to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.
The 24-year-old Beston was driving west in a 2013 Dodge Journey on Highway 1804 behind a 2006 International semi-trailer. Beston's Dodge struck the rear of the belly dump trailer and overturned, coming to rest in the westbound lane of the roadway.
The deceased were both pronounced dead on scene. None of the three motorists in the Dodge were wearing seat belts.
Matthew Terry, a 39-year-old Williston native, was driving the semi truck and was not injured.
In addition to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the Williams County Sheriff's Office and Ray Fire and Ambulance responded to the crash.
NDHP is continuing to investigate the crash.
