One person was transported to Altru Hospital with minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash late Saturday evening near Grand Forks.
The incident occurred at 11:19 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 17 and County Road 6, two miles south of Grand Forks. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2019 Highlander was southbound on 17, driving approximately 55 mph. The Highlander, driven by Ava Miller, 16, failed to stop at the intersection and was struck in the passenger side by a 1997 BMW.
Miller was cited for disregarding a stop sign, according to a Highway Patrol report. All four people in the Highlander and the one occupant of the BMW were wearing seat belts.
The Highway Patrol and Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department responded.
