CARRINGTON, N.D. — The Carrington Police Department responded to a call around 6:45 a.m. Sunday, April 26, of a train derailment along Highway 52.
That's according to Carrington police Officer Kendall Johnson, who added that there were no injuries.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol and the North Dakota Department of Transportation closed Highway 52 in order to inspect the overpass bridge to ensure there was no damage.
Johnson said the road closure didn't last longer than 20 minutes.
Additional information about the cause of the train derailment was not available Sunday afternoon.
