ABERDEEN, S.D. — A 37-year-old man killed in an all-terrain vehicle rollover late Sunday night, Sept. 15, about seven miles west of Aberdeen has been identified.
Nicholas Fettig of Aberdeen died at the scene. Another occupant, 34-year-old Dustin Steiha of Aberdeen, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries. Authorities have yet to determine which man was driving the 2014 Polaris Ranger 900XP four-wheeler.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol said the vehicle was northbound on 378th Avenue, a gravel road, when the driver lost control turning onto 132nd Street.
Seat belt use remains under investigation.
