CROOKSTON, Minn. -- Minnesota troopers have released the name of a Grand Forks man who died in a crash near Crookston.
Christopher Todd Bacon, 51, died from injuries he received Thursday, June 7, from the crash about 6 miles east of Crookston on U.S. Highway 2. Multiple emergency agencies responded at 12:30 p.m. to the scene, where a westbound 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Bacon rear-ended a 2013 Peterbilt Glider 389 driven by 64-year-old Jerry Sherlock of Grand Forks, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Sherlock was not injured in the crash, troopers said. No alcohol was involved in the crash and both drivers were wearing their seat belts, according to the release.
