EAST GRAND FORKS, MINN. — A new restaurant with a retro twist will soon open in East Grand Forks.
The Spud Junior will open shortly after the new year.
Named after the Spud, a popular bar frequented by Grand Forks patrons during the 80s, the restaurant will feature memorabilia from local and beloved establishments from the last 50 years.
"We just really sought out to help bring some of the nostalgia back to the Grand Cities community," said owner Justin Larocque.
Some items on display are named after hot spots in East Grand Forks and Grand Forks area.
If you have any memorabilia you'd like to sell, loan or donate contact the Spud Jr. via their Facebook page.
