BRADLEY, S.D. -- A 47-year-old pilot from Webster died in a crash just about 20 miles south of his northeast South Dakota home on Friday, Nov. 2.

Clark County Sheriff Robert McGraw said John Shoemaker died about noon when his Cessna 210 hit an embankment on an elevated township road about 3 miles northwest of the small town of Bradley.

Bradley is about 22 miles south of Webster and 33 miles northwest of Watertown.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash, McGraw said.
