A two-vehicle crash involving a sugar beet truck in Polk County has sent one person to the hospital.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash at 10 a.m. Saturday at county roads 66 and 19, or about 10 miles northeast of East Grand Forks. Officers determined Gregory Lundin, 38, of Bemidji, was driving a beet truck when he failed to yield to a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox at the intersection, according to a news release. The two vehicles collided, and the driver of the Equinox, 65-year-old Jade Rude of Thief River Falls, was taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
